Dixie Cafe closing all locations today

Cabot restaurant on Rockwood Road is laying off 35 of its employees.

The Cabot Dixie Café will serve its last home-style meals on Wednesday as the company is closing all 17 Dixie Café and Delta Café restaurants in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Tennessee. School board curtails public comments in a new policy

Patrons will have to submit concerns in writing to superintendent, who will decide if they should be on the agenda.

Public comments will no longer be accepted at Jacksonville-North Pulaski School District board meetings, the board voted unanimously on Monday. Patrons with concerns must submit a detailed letter or email to the superintendent 14 days ahead of the next meeting.
