Disabled American Veterans Chapter 7 presented Vietnam War veteran George Richardson of Lonoke County with a Quilt of Valor on Tuesday, which was Flag Day. The quilt was sewn by Pat Hensley.

American Legion meetings June 23

Ham-radio club meeting on July 17

The Small Town Amateur Radio Service, a ham-radio club known as STARS, will hold its monthly meeting at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17 at Criswell-Robinson American Legion Post 71, 600 N. Veterans’ food pantry open Saturday

Feed the Veterans Pantry will be open from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18 at 1212 S. Second St. in Cabot. It is open to veterans and their family members who are under the age of 18. A DD 214 and a photo ID or a military identification card or a V.A. card are required to receive food.

Vietnam War veteran Lt. Commander George Richardson of Lonoke County was recognized on Tuesday, Flag Day, with a Quilt of Valor from the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 7 Greater Little Rock office in Jacksonville.
