Police Reports – March 17, 2021

Jacksonville
* Samuel Cadaret, 48, of 18 White Oak Cove was arrested on March 8 on gun and drug charges.
Police made a traffic stop at 1:26 a.m. at 2255 John Harden Drive on a black 2015 Toyota Tacoma truck with a headlight out.
Officers spoke with Cadaret. When they asked him if he had any weapons, Cardaret said he had a gun next to him near his right hip.
A bag with 5.2 grams of marijuana was in a compartment in front of the gear shifter. Cadaret was taken into custody. The unloaded Bersa .380 pistol was reported stolen in Jacksonville.
Police searched the truck and found two marijuana cigarettes, a grinder, a scale and a glass pipe with burned residue.
Cadaret was charged with theft by receiving, possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
* Roger Palton, 47, of Scott was arrested on March 7 and charged with possession of cocaine.
Police made a traffic stop at 8:09 p.m. at 1521 S. First St. for the improper display of a license plate. A K-9 unit made a sweep and the dog made an alert to drugs in the vehicle.
Officers searched the vehicle and found crack cocaine in a cigarette box on the driver’s side dash.
* Michael Abshure, 41, of Cabot was arrested March 7 on drug charges.
Police were called at 10:32 a.m. to Buck’s Country Store, 1605 Loop Road to check on man in a silver Chrysler 300.
Abshure gave police a driver’s license with a different name and birthdate.
On Abshure’s lap was a baggie of methamphetamine. In the driver’s side door handle was another baggie of meth and a broken glass pipe.
In a camouflage pouch in the car were a baggie of marijuana, a baggie with eight alprazolam, a baggie with three Clonazepam pills, a baggie with one Roxy pill, a baggie of meth, a baggie corner with meth, a scale and four empty baggies.
Absure was charged with possession of schedule 4 and 6 narcotics with purpose to deliver, possession of methamphetamine with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and non-financial identity fraud.
* Keith Bradley, 27, of 301 Pearl St. was arrested for allegedly fighting with his girlfriend.
Police were called at 7:08 a.m. to the address for a domestic dispute. The victim said she and Bradley got into an argument and it became physical.
The woman said Bradley hit her several times and choked her. When she tried calling 911, Bradley took the phone away and tried to leave the home.
When the victim tried to run to a neighbor’s house to call for help, Bradley grabbed her and brought the victim back into the house, where he continued to attack her.
Police found Bradley hiding in the attic and orderedu him to come down. He was taken into custody.
Bradley was charged with aggravated assault on a family member, second-degree false imprisonment, second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree domestic battery, interference with emergency communications and refusal to submit to arrest.
