Scottie Willard Watkins, 69, of CabotFree Access


Scottie Willard Watkins, 69, of Cabot passed away Dec. 1.

He was born July 11, 1953, in Meridian, Miss., to the late Willard and Mavis Barber Watkins.

Scottie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed hiking, camping, traveling, visiting with people and spending time with his pets.

In addition to his parents, Scottie was preceded in death by one nephew and his father-in-law, William Carrigan.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Watkins; sisters, Teresa Watkins James (Terry) of Oxford, Miss., and Brenda Watkins Alawine of Collinsville, Miss.; mother-in-law, Joan Carrigan; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Scottie from 3 till 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at Tee’s Elm Lake Golf Course, 1609 Taylor Thurston Road, Columbus, Miss. 39701. The family would like to invite you to come and bring good, happy memories to share.
